On the West Highland Way, you are in the wild heart of Scotland. The landscape presents a new, impressive facet every day: in rain and fog, the mountains look dark and repellent, as soon as the sun emerge, the mystical atmosphere disappears and the highlands radiates from its most beautiful side. Walk through the typical Glens along torrential rivers that repeatedly plunge across waterfalls, such as the impressive Falloch Falls. There, the trail continues through damp valleys to the watershed from which the waters then flow towards the North Sea. Also worth seeing is the largest freshwater lake in the UK, Loch Lomond.
