We’ll pick you up from your hotel around 7:00 AM for a short 20-minute drive to Tambomachay, just outside Cusco. Here, you’ll begin your adventure with a 4-hour uphill hike to Koricocha Lake (3,700 m / 12,130 ft), passing beautiful lakes, local communities, and spotting llamas, alpacas, and various birds along the way. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch on the lake’s shores before continuing another 3 hours of rolling terrain to Kenko Village (3,800 m / 12,467 ft).
Kenko is a small, traditional village where people live by farming potatoes and beans, and raising llamas and alpacas. Upon arrival, you’ll find your campsite ready, with warm water for washing, a cozy tea time, and a hearty dinner. Spend the night in comfortable tents under the Andean sky.
