As Germany's oldest national park, the Bavarian Forest is one of the most visited holiday regions in the country, yet offers so much peace of mind. Together with the Sumava National Park (Bohemian Forest in the Czech Republic) bordering to the east, the area is one of the largest contiguous forest protection area in Central Europe.
