Tenerife fascinates with its contrasts: the barren, desert-like landscape along the coasts, only a few kilometres in the hinterland of the humid laurel forest, then again bizarre gorges and table mountains that are located in front of the Teide massif. The national park itself is an incomparable landscape with little vegetation, but the more spectacular are the rock formations in the lava sea, which bear sounding names such as “The Queen's Shoe” or the “Noses of the Teide”. Every day you travel is a contrast to the day before.
