We start early, leaving the 'Capital of the Highlands', crossing the Black Isle, and passing Dunrobin Castle.
From here, we follow the northeast coast, through some of Scotland’s most striking Highland scenery.
We continue through mainland Scotland’s northernmost village, John o’ Groats, then to Gills Bay to board the ferry across the Pentland Firth to Orkney.
A short drive takes us to the famous Italian Chapel, then on to Kirkwall, the Viking capital of Orkney. Here, you can explore Kirkwall’s impressive Viking Cathedral and stroll its historic winding streets in the evening.
