Heading south from Dublin, we journey through the Wicklow Mountains to Glendalough. Take time to explore the peaceful lakes, dive into history at the visitor centre, and soak in the calm of the ancient monastic city ruins.
Next, we press westward to Kilcullen, a charming market town, where we pause for a lunch break.
Our route then leads to the Rock of Dunamase, where the castle ruins stand guard over the vast plains of County Laois.
Crossing the peat bogs, we arrive at Adare, famed as ‘Ireland’s Prettiest Village.’ Here, thatched cottages and the remains of a 15th-century Franciscan Monastery offer a glimpse into the past.
Finally, we reach County Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula—a vibrant heart of Irish language and culture. We settle into the town of Dingle for a two-night stay.
