This journey offers a rich blend of culture, language, religion, cuisine, attire, and natural beauty. Starting in Amritsar, the spiritual heart of Punjab and home to the Golden Temple, the tour ascends into the Himalayan foothills and traces a majestic half-moon arc, culminating in Shimla, the former colonial capital of British India.

While the plains of India often sizzle at temperatures around 47°C, the hill stations remain refreshingly cool and pleasant. The best way to experience this region is by walking through remote villages and scenic trails, returning each evening to your comfortable accommodation.

This tour is organized year-round, but please note that August and September are monsoon months. Heavy rains during this period can cause disruptions, so the may see some minor trouble at that time, due to temorary road blocks or land slides. If you're planning to travel in the post-monsoon season (October to November), we recommend carrying warm clothing, including a fleece jacket, as the temperatures in higher altitudes can be quite cold.

We conclude the journey with a delightful two-hour ride on the Himalayan Toy Train from Shimla, followed by a drive to Chandigarh, on the last day.
